Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet sauvignon is a blue grape variety that is used for wine production and was created by crossing the cabernet franc with the sauvignon blanc.

The Cabernet Sauvignon is a very popular grape and gives a full flavor and a dark color. It is the most commonly used grape for red wine. The wine of this grape is considered more complex and less accessible than the equally popular Merlot. The ripening process is very important.

The origin of this breed lies in the Médoc, in the French Bordeaux region, but today it is grown in many places, for example also in the Côtes de Gascogne and outside France in California, Australia, South Africa and Chile.

The grape is often mixed with other varieties, such as the merlot and the cabernet franc, after the example of the Médoc wines.
